As a fan of Thomas and Friends series, my son has collected several models of the tank engine’s (train) characters, namely, Thomas (the leader) and his friends, James, Edwards, Henry, Emily, and etc. I know he wanted to have more (from his body gesture when we went to shopping malls), but we have to hold that. Otherwise, we’ll be spending more than a hundred ringgit a month just for his hobby. No…no..no...And I want him to know that, not every time he go to shopping mall (toy shop to be specific), he’ll get something. He’ll be too spoilt then.
Having a limited model in hand, he started to use my stationeries and other things in the house to become part of his toy. For examples, stapler become Diesel 10, batteries, crayon and colour pencils become the jovi lodge (to be carried in the trucks), laptop as bridge, coffee table as hill. Pen can be used to some sort of repairing his trains, acting his to put some oil at the wheels. So creative, boy! Ibu likes it very much.
He even say “shake..shake..shake…make me quick” (excerpt from Thomas The Misty Island Rescue, the new released DVD), when he play his Thomas set on my lappy. “Help…help”, when the train wanna fall from the coffee table. He can even started his role play when he see two box of drink in front of him. One as Thomas, and the other as Stanley, for examples, then the conversation begin. So cute, Irfan! Though the conversation is not very clear and accurate, it really makes me smile…and laugh…release my tension a bit. Thanks dear! You make me cheer.
He also urged me to play with him (this part, sometime can be very interesting, coz you wanna spend time with him. But not all the time, coz I also have tonnes of workloads to do). He’ll also ask his father and me to become part of his role play, taking part as one of the tank engine characters and start to communicate. How imaginative the child is? And it’s really fun to watch it. I’m sure the parents out there have their own experience in this.
Let’s share.
For Irfan, we really love to see your imagination. At your age, there are many things to be explored and we as parents are here to guide you, son. Keep it up!

Yay for Irfan!
It's a good thing he doesn't like Ben 10 Alienforce or Superhero League or the more common Ultraman and Kamen Riders... Gosh, what is AIDA AMANI up to this time?
*tepuk dahi & tergolek pengsan*
Maybe belum age dia lagi kak. But, he know Ben 10, cuma kitaorg x brp galakkan lagi. But, Upin & Ipin, dia start to minat. He request for "ayam Upin upin" which mean ayam goreng. Hehe...
