I found this website is really interesting. To create the bonding between mother and baby through infant massage. I've tried it to my son. Up until now, he still want me to give him a massage (but now as thorough as showed in the guideline, as he's now a toddler). Every morning and night, after his bath time, he'll request for lotion (or u can u baby oil as alternative) to be used for massage. He really enjoy the moments. And I think this is one way of how to keep the bonding between us, hehehe...
"The loving connection between mother and child is truly magical. It’s a bond that can be enhanced through the sense of touch, and that’s something your baby will thrive on – studies have found that infant massage increases a baby’s bone mass by 15%*
This is why we believe infant massage to be the perfect bonding activity for you and your precious one.
Infant massage brings your baby many other benefits, like motor skill development when you massage his arms and legs. Through his interactions with you during massage, your baby will also grow emotionally, and learn to feel more secure, confident and independent. Massaging your baby also has the added benefit of calming him down, which in turn can improve his sleep patterns and aid with his digestion."
